Oxford blanks West Point in tennis

Oxford Chargers begin quest to win fifth straight state title

Oxford’s goal to garner a fifth straight state championship in tennis begins today with a home match against Grenada. OHS coach Louis Nash will try to win the 5A title without the services of four seniors who lead the Chargers to a 116-1 record over the last six years, including four state titles and 11 individual championships. OMS Chargers whack Warriors

SENATOBIA — A clean sweep. That’s what the Oxford seventh- and eighth-grade football teams earned Thursday with wins over Senatobia.

Oxford tennis rolls to North Half

Chargers advance to state tournament

OHS tennis blanks Pontotoc

Oxford’s final regular season match of the season ended with a 7-0 win over Pontotoc on Monday. The Chargers made short work of the Warriors thanks to a 6-0, 6-0 win by Zach Wilder at boys singles and a 6-3, 6-0 win by Ann Marie Edlin over Kristen Pennigton. The No. 1 boys doubles team of Baxter Elliott and Robert Nance topped Cam Temmons and Ryan Henry 6-3 6-3, while the No. 2 boys doubles team of Quinn Elliott and Will Swindoll beat Denton McAuley and Brandon Temmons 6-4, 6-0.
