OHS shows offensive depth in tournament

Oxford coach Chris Baughman had a big smile on his face following his team’s game with Senatobia at Edwin Moak Field on Thursday afternoon.

Sure he was glad that he and his staff were that much closer to concluding the four-day Spring Break Tournament, but the main reason was because of the success the Chargers had at the plate in an 11-1 win over the Warriors and the continued success of the team as they headed into the start of division play, which begins Tuesday at New Hope. (March 18, 2011, Page 6A)

West Point plays near flawless game in victory over Chargers

West Point’s most complete game of the season came at one of the most inopportune times for the Oxford Chargers Friday night at Edwin Moak Field.

The Green Wave defeated the Chargers 8-4 for their first win in six Division 2-5A games by playing extremely clean baseball on defense and getting timely hits against OHS starter Shae Mnichowski and reliever Cameron Rose. (April 12, 2010, Page 2B)

SPORTS EDITOR BLOG — A four-run seventh inning broke a 4-4 tie and ultimately propelled the West Point Green Wave to an 8-4 win over the Oxford Chargers Friday night at Edwin Moak Field.

Roberson captures 100th win as OHS coach

Oxford coach Bradley Roberson reached a significant milestone Thursday night with the Chargers’ 17-4 win over Independence. Roberson’s 100th win as OHS coach came in a game that also put the Chargers back above .500 (10-9 overall) and gave them another dose of confidence going into tonight’s Division 2-5A game with West Point at Edwin Moak Field. (April 9, 2010, Page 6A)
