Tuesday was a night of firsts for a lot of young Ole Miss Rebels.

Rebels scratch out 1-0 win on Opening Day

VIDEO BLOG: Baseball season is finally upon us.

With temperatures hovering in the low 50s and dipping into the 40s, the No. 13 Ole Miss baseball team will kick off the 2013 season with a familiar foe in the No. 14 TCU Horned Frogs.

First pitch today is set for 4 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday’s games are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and noon starts.

Rebs return plenty of experience in ‘13

Many of the “big names” are gone from Ole Miss’ lineup, but while the Diamond Rebels lack returning power they make up for it with able bodies and experience.

During Monday’s media day, Mike Bianco, entering his 13th season as Rebel skipper, touted the team’s returning experience despite the loss of sluggers Matt Snyder and Zach Kirksey, and the infield experience of Blake Newalu and Alex Yarbrough.

No. 18 Rebels blow late lead to Tigers

MEMPHIS — Jacob Wilson proved to be quite the party crasher Tuesday evening.

Change pays off as No. 22 Rebs claim series from Hogs

BLOG: It appears Ole Miss’ most recent gamble has paid off.

Entering the weekend, the No. 22 Rebels made headlines after it was announced that starter R.J. Hively would be available out of the bullpen if needed.
