Folks living in Abbeville who want to buy a bottle of wine to have with dinner, or some brandy to help keep them warm during the long, cold winter nights, will no longer have to drive 12 miles out of their way.
Lafayette County resident Will Matthews and New Albany resident Chandler Rogers have teamed up to open the Riverfront Wine and Spirits package store at 1040 Highway 7 North in Abbeville.
Matthews and Rogers said they chose the location because of its convenience for those citizens living in northern Lafayette County and southern Marshall County.
They received a permit from the Department of Revenue last week that allows them to open the package store in the city limits of Abbeville. (November 15, 2010, Page 1A)
