Oxford earns road wins over LHS
Tuesday’s nightcap involving the Oxford Chargers and Lafayette Commodores literally came down to one play. In a game that was as emotionally charged as any recent contest between Lafayette and Oxford on the basketball court, it was the Chargers who got the better of the Commodores in a 55-53 win in the LHS gym. Going down the home stretch of their regular season schedules, both Oxford’s boys and girls hoops squads are happy to have earned victories over Saltillo at home on Tuesday.

OHS girls remain perfect

Lady Chargers ‘all about team ball’ this year
Head coach Shayne Linzy doesn’t look at his Oxford Lady Chargers’ roster and see just five starters with a handful of role players.
Linzy, in his second year at Oxford since coming over from Water Valley, said he’s excited about how his roster has shaped up since the summer.
With Linzy’s high-tempo offense, in combination with a deep roster, don’t be surprised to see Oxford essentially using hockey-like line changes this season.
