Oxford takes hoops tournament title
Oxford’s eighth-grade boys basketball team won the North Panola Hardwood Classic Saturday. The Chargers beat Tunica 43-36 and then beat North Panola 42-28 to win the title. (more…) (January 15, 2013, Page 7)
OMS teams post sweep of South Panola
Oxford’s middle school basketball teams earned a home sweep of South Panola in the Oxford High gym Tuesday evening. The seventh-grade Lady Chargers defeated the Lady Tigers 24-7, while the eighth-graders won 27-15. The seventh-grade Chargers improved to 10-0 on the season with a 27-14 win, while the eighth-graders won 50-32 to improve to 10-4. (more…) (January 9, 2013, Page 7)
