In games against Vanderbilt, Florida and LSU, the Ole Miss women have fallen victim to lopsided runs that they were unable to overcome.
The Ole Miss Lady Rebels showed their youth at times on Friday.
Opening their season with a bout against North Florida at the C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum, the Ole Miss women’s basketball team had to dig out of an early 12-point deficit to defeat the Ospreys 68-59. (November 14, 2011, Page 4B)
Even after an exhibition swing in Canada, weeks of practice and two closed scrimmages, Lady Rebel head coach Renee Ladner is being cautious about the her team’s readiness for the opener. (November 10, 2011, Page 7)
When the Ole Miss Lady Rebels take to the hardwood at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum tomorrow to open their 2010 season, head coach Renee Ladner would like for her young squad to be playing like veterans.
While on paper the Lady Rebels’ roster is dominated by inexperience, Ladner is hoping the team’s exhibition game against West Georgia, their scrimmage against Tulane and full-throttle practices in which she’s thrown the freshmen into the fire, will pay off. (November 11, 2010, Page 7)
