Art show interference sets troubling precedent

Oxford EAGLE News Editor Jonathan Scott expresses concern that Mayor Pat Patterson’s recent involvement in one particular artist’s show and its appropriateness to be displayed at The Powerhouse could be setting a precedent that seriously affects the growing local art community. ‘Streetcar Named Desire’ opens Wednesday

Tennessee Williams’ play, “Streetcar Names Desire” opens Wednesday and will run through Friday at The Powerhouse. Tickets on Wednesday and Friday are $10 to $12 for members and $8 for students.
