Water Valley schools tap new leader
WATER VALLEY — After months of searching and interviewing, the Water Valley School District finally found a successor for Superintendent Sammy Higdon. On Monday, Deborah Moran officially accepted the school district’s offer to lead the school district into the future. She comes to Water Valley from the Hancock County School District. Water Valley Superintendent Sammy Higdon told his school board he would be attending a statewide rally of school superintendents and education supporters in the capital city Tuesday. The WV School Board took up other issues, including the penalty for cursing at school. (March 24, 2010, Page 2A)
Burgess elected WV School Board president
