Hollywood South revisits Oxford Film Festival 2012

OXFORD TOWN – Hollywood South syndicated columnist Jamie O’Quinn (pictured here) takes a fond look back at the 2012 Oxford Film Festival held last month at the Malco Studio Cinema. It’s her opinion that while the selection of films chosen for viewing (at OFF) is an integral part of a festival, it’s the people in attendance who are the greatest attraction. “From film producers, directors, screenwriters, musicians, actors, crew to volunteers, the interactions with these creative and passionate people remain the most intriguing part of the experience,” O’Quinn states in her column. Share O’Quinn’s memorable retrospective of this year’s film festival on Page 12 in Oxford Town issue No. 970. (March 15, 2012)

‘Triple Threat’ women set for Oxford Film Festival

OXFORD TOWN – Wearing several hats is what you do in the indie film industry, but for three filmmakers, taking on the script, the direction and the acting for their films makes them a triple threat. Meet Christine Elise McCarthy of “Bathing and The Single Girl,” Tanya Wright (pictured here) of “Butterfly Rising” and Christina Beck of “Perfection.” The three will be at the Oxford Film Festival to talk more about their films but, for now, Oxford Film Freak Melanie Addington previews their work on Page 16 in this week’s issue of Oxford Town. (February 9, 2012, Page 16)
