Blue Devils face Coffeeville in Raliroad Rivalry

The Water Valley Blue Devils are still catching their breath from the the frantic finish of their 36-33 victory over New Albany last week. While doing so, they must turn their attention to the Coffeeville Pirates and the battle for the Railroad Trophy.

WVHS edges Bruce in another nailbiter

BRUCE — The concession stands may want to stack up on Pepto-Bismol, or at least TUMS and Rolaids, to help calm the nervous stomachs when Water Valley and Bruce meet again.

Friday’s backyard rivalry with the Blue Devils and Trojans played out much the same as the previous two contests between the squads with the game undecided until the final minutes of the fourth quarter. The Blue Devils (4-0 overall) came out of Trojan Field with a 22-16 win, but not without a scare. (September 16, 2013, Page 3B)
