Uber arrives in Oxford

OPD has issued about five citation to Uber drivers since the smartphone application ride-sharing business started in Oxford two weeks ago for not following the city’s taxi laws. Uber officials say they don’t have to meet the “antiquated” laws that do not allow for technology-driven transportation services. (September 8, 2014, Page 1, 2)
