Ole Miss makes FTs, hold on to beat Florida

Ole Miss needed every bit of its accuracy from the free throw line Saturday. Jarvis Summers scored a team-high 16 points, including a pair of free throws in the final seconds to put Ole Miss up for good, and the Rebels hung on for a 72-71 win over Florida at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. (January 25, 2015, Page 1B, 4B)

Rebels look to reverse home trend against Gators

Ole Miss will return home this weekend after spending more than a week on the road. That hasn’t always been a good thing. The Rebels have more losses at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum (4) than they do outside of their own building and are just one game above .500 there. Ole Miss can improve on that against Florida on Saturday (5 p.m., SEC Network) in a game the Rebels almost have to have for any NCAA Tournament aspirations. (January 23, 2015, Page 7)

Ole Miss fizzles down the stretch, falls to Bulldogs on road

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Georgia was primed for a letdown. The Bulldogs were tired. They weren’t playing another big rival. There were plenty of empty seats at Stegeman Coliseum. Yet, after a sluggish start, Georgia found a way to pull out its third straight Southeastern Conference win. Marcus Thornton scored 16 points and came up with a huge steal late in the game, J.J. Frazier made a couple of big 3s, and Charles Mann rebounded from a scoreless first half to lead the Bulldogs past Ole Miss, 69-64, on Tuesday night. (January 21, 2015, Page 1B, 4B)

Hot shooting leads Ole Miss past No. 19 Arkansas on road

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Stefan Moody had 18 points as Mississippi shot a season-high 56.4 percent in a 96-82 win over No. 19 Arkansas on Saturday night. Five players finished in double figures for the Rebels (11-6, 2-3 Southeastern Conference), who were playing their first road game since a crushing overtime loss at Kentucky. (January 18, 2015, Page 1B)

Ole Miss aims to bounce back against pressurized Hogs

Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy was disappointed LSU didn’t extend its defense the length of the court against the Rebels in Wednesday’s game, something LSU has done with regularity this season. It would’ve helped Ole Miss get some easy buckets on the back end, Kennedy thought. It also would’ve aided in the Rebels’ preparation for the constant pressure they’re going to see from Arkansas. (January 16, 2015, Page 6, 7)

Ole Miss ‘lethargic’ in 75-71 loss to LSU

LSU simply had too much firepower for Ole Miss. But a lack of energy and untimely mistakes didn’t do anything to help the Rebels’ cause. Keith Hornsby had a game-high 23 points, LSU’s talented frontcourt duo of Jarell Martin and Jordan Mickey each recorded double-doubles, and the Tigers sent Ole Miss to a 75-71 loss Wednesday night at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. (January 15, 2015, Page 6A)

LSU poses first challenge in important week for Rebels

Ole Miss has already held its own against one collection of future NBA talent. The Rebels will have to do it again to give themselves a chance against LSU. More specifically, Ole Miss will have to contend with the Tigers’ next-level duo of Jordan Mickey and Jarell Martin down low when the teams meet tonight at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum (6 p.m., SEC Network). (January 14, 2015, Page 7)
