Rebels blow 17-point lead in 81-74 loss to WKU

It was a game the Ole Miss men’s basketball team had well in hand, but an offense that went cold and a scorching hot performance by Western Kentucky in the second half led to an 81-74 loss for the Rebels at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum on Saturday afternoon. (December 14, 2014, Page 1B)

Ole Miss holds on for road win over Ducks

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – The smallest player on the floor provided the perfect exclamation point for Ole Miss’ statement win on Sunday. Stefan Moody’s two-handed dunk with 36 seconds left punctuated his 22-point performance that helped lead the Rebels (6-2) to a 79-73 victory over Oregon and avenged an overtime loss at home to the Ducks (5-3) last season. (December 8, 2014, Page 6)

Offense goes cold in Rebels’ loss to TCU

Any momentum the Ole Miss men’s basketball team created over the weekend is gone. The Rebels struggled to score form anywhere on the floor, going through extended scoring droughts through the night, and an early back-and-forth affair turned into an easy victory for TCU as the Horned Frogs ended Ole Miss’ five-game winning streak with a 66-54 win Thursday at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum in the SEC-Big 12 Challenge. (December 5, 2014, Page 6A)

Rebels making strides on offensive end

A transfusion of quickness and athleticism has made the Ole Miss men’s basketball team a pesky bunch on the defensive end. But the Rebels haven’t had a whole lot of offense to go with it. At least not until this past weekend. (December 3, 2014, Page 2B)

Defense leads Ole Miss to 69-38 rout of Southern

Ole Miss’ second showing in front of its home crowd was much more successful than the first thanks to some smothering defense. Bucs stun Rebs in opener

Ole Miss’ basketball season got off to an ugly start Friday night. Cedrick Bowen slammed home a miss with less than a second left in overtime, and Charleston Southern shocked the Rebels, 66-65, in both teams’ season opener at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. An official review upheld the basket, handing Ole Miss its first loss to start a season since 2003 — and one of the worst in the Andy Kennedy era. (November 16, 2014, Page 4B)
