Good field of athletes on tap at Ole Miss invitational
Some of the best college and pro track athletes will be on display as they compete in the annual Ole Miss Invitational on Saturday. Persson sets new school record
Ole Miss’ Sofie Persson broke her own school record in the 800 meters and automatically qualified for next week’s NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at a last-chance qualifier meet hosted by Iowa State on Saturday. Persson broke the record with a winning time of 2 minutes:04.51 seconds, which is under the NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 2:05.00. (more…) (March 7, 2011, Page 8A)
