With temperatures hovering in the low 50s and dipping into the 40s, the No. 13 Ole Miss baseball team will kick off the 2013 season with a familiar foe in the No. 14 TCU Horned Frogs.
First pitch today is set for 4 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday’s games are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and noon starts.

During Monday’s media day, Mike Bianco, entering his 13th season as Rebel skipper, touted the team’s returning experience despite the loss of sluggers Matt Snyder and Zach Kirksey, and the infield experience of Blake Newalu and Alex Yarbrough.
First pitch for today’s Game 1 matchup between second-seeded TCU and third-seeded Ole Miss is set for 12:35 p.m.
Former Tennessee Vol and major league player Chris Burke will be calling the game along side Ducis Rogers.

HOOVER, Ala. — The Ole Miss Rebels can take a deep breath and exhale a sigh of relief. Well, sort of.
Like most any team will say publicly, Ole Miss came to Hoover, Ala., to win the Southeastern Conference Tournament. (May 24, 2012, Page 7)
BLOG: Hello again from Regions Park in Hoover, Ala., the site of the 2012 Southeastern Conference Tournament.
After losing to Kentucky 2-0 in their opener, the Ole Miss turned around and defeated Arkansas and preseason SEC Pitcher of the Year D.J. Baxendale 2-0 on Wednesday thanks in large part to the pitching efforts of Mike Mayers and Brett Huber.
Today, the Rebels will face one of the top pitchers in the country when they face off with LSU and right-handed junior Kevin Gausman at 9:30 a.m.

Unfortunately for the ninth-seeded Rebels, to will have to rough up D.J. Baxendale if they’re to remain alive in the Southeastern Conference Tournament.
