On a night where the Oxford High gym was overflowing with fans and onlookers, it was the appearance of one former Lady Charger that made the biggest impact for a current member of the team. Former OHS standout Erika Sisk returned home to Oxford from Murray State Tuesday night to surprise her younger sister, Amber, a senior member of coach Shayne Linzy’s team.
The visit was a surprise, so much so that when Erika and another former teammate, Meisha Gillom, entered the OHS locker area four minutes before the start of the annual Crosstown Classic with Lafayette, Amber broke down with tears of joy. (December 12, 2012, Page 4B)

WATER VALLEY — The Lafayette Middle School basketball teams made the most of their opportunities Thursday evening taking three of four games at Water Valley.
