WATER VALLEY — Falling behind nine runs a night after losing by 11 was not what the Water Valley Lady Blue Devils needed at the start of Saturday’s MHSAA Class 3A playoff game with Booneville. (more…) (April 22, 2013, Page 10)

WATER VALLEY — Casey Clouse was at a loss for words Friday night as her Water Valley Lady Blue Devils had a three-game winning streak snapped by the Bruce Lady Trojans. Jessica Pearson always had a knack of turning nothing into something.

WATER VALLEY — Monday’s volleyball match was definitely a struggle for the Water Valley Lady Blue Devils and the visiting Lafayette Lady Commodores.
Early on, both squads struggled to serve consistently and make the basic plays necessary to build a lead.
As the match progressed, however, Lafayette made the necessary adjustments to claim a 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-11) victory at Water Valley. (August 28, 2012, Page 7)
WATER VALLEY — The clicking sound in Haley Vance’s ankle was loud enough for her to hear it. Her final basketball game as a Water Valley Lady Blue Devil resulted in a sprained ankle and while that didn’t make an impact for the girls basketball team, a bum ankle wasn’t a good thing for the softball team and first-year coach Casey Clouse.
Fortunately for Vance and the rest of her teammates, she was able to recover from the sprained ankle in time, and once she got her timing back at the plate, she was able deliver a great performance in her final year wearing blue and white. (June 7, 2012, Page 1B)
SPRINGVILLE — Water Valley’s goal of winning the Division 3-3A championship outright and earning a bye to start the 3A playoffs was done in by miscues Thursday night. Six errors doomed the Lady Blue Devils in their 9-8 loss to South Pontotoc in the regular season finale. The Lady Cougars, who rallied to beat WVHS on Monday night in extra innings, scored six of their nine runs due to errors, including the game-winner in the bottom of the seventh inning.
