Diamond Rebels ready to begin 2015 season

On Friday afternoon, the 2015 season begins for the Ole Miss baseball team.  And for the first time in the Mike Bianco era, the goal is not to get to Omaha, but to get back to there. (February 12, 2015, Page 5A)

Bianco feels ‘good’ with Rebels rotation with new additions

Making a return trip to Omaha and the College World Series is a tough task for any baseball team no matter how talented.  That is just what Ole Miss plans to do though after getting back to the CWS for the first time since 1972 last season and becoming one of the final four teams fighting for a national championship before being ousted by eventual runner-up Virginia.  That journey began last Friday as teams were allowed to begin formally practicing across the country. Ole Miss is preparing for its season-opening series against William & Mary beginning on Feb. 13. (January 28, 2015, Page 1B, 3B)

Bronzing an Icon

Local artist Bill Beckwith continues his work of iconic images with a new Elvis statue. A documentary on the process will follow with a big unveiling of the statue in August in Tupelo. (May 4, 2012, Page 1, 2B)
