Ole Miss left-handed pitcher Drew Pomeranz was named the 2010 winner of the Cellular South Ferriss Trophy awarded annually to the top collegiate baseball player in the state of Mississippi. Pomeranz is the fourth Rebel to win the award. (May 25, 2010, Page 8)
OLE MISS BASEBALL — With the loss of Jake Morgan in the fall to injury, it’s David Goforth’s turn to step up and assume the role of closer for the Ole Miss Rebels. The sophomore from Neshoba Central was Morgan’s setup man last season and posted a 1-1 record with three saves in 25 appearances. OLE MISS BASEBALL — Several former Ole Miss baseball players, including Lance Lynn, Brett Basham and Matt Tolbert returned to Oxford this week to begin training for their respective professional spring trainings.
