‘Where I Begin’ begins again

OXFORD TOWN – Wish I could say it had been my idea but after spending a week in Oxford, director Thomas L. Phillips knew that our film, “Where I Begin,” just makes more sense if it were made in Oxford. We will be filming here in August. Check out this week’s issue of Oxford Town and read about the exciting changes we’ve made to our film. (June 30, 2010, Page 9)

Casting call brings out film hopefuls

The new Yoknapatawpha Arts Council Film Fund is looking to find ways to help up and coming filmmakers in the area find support and funding. The new fund was announced on Friday at the fundraising party for the independent film, “Where I Begin,” which will be directed by Thomas L. Phillips and co-produced and co-written by The EAGLE’s own Melanie Addington. (June 28, 2010, Page 3)

Parties, casting, music and a film fund

OXFORD TOWN – Oxford Film Freak continues this week in discussing pre-production on the indie film that she co-wrote with Thomas L. Phillips. A party to raise funds for the film is being held at the Powerhouse from 6-8 pm on Friday with a special appearance by Reverend Robert Reed and Jimbo Mathus. (June 24, 2010, Page 10)
