VIDEO BLOG: Battered Rebels talk No. 6 LSU

BLOG — Ole Miss had a bye three weeks ago, but it hasn’t helped much in keeping the Rebels healthy. Ole Miss is dealing with a plethora of injuries following its latest loss to No. 7 Texas A&M, particularly on the defensive side, and head coach Hugh Freeze said the Rebels will be without “most all” of those injured against another top-10 team this week in sixth-ranked LSU. Manziel rallies Aggies, again, past Rebels

For a few minutes, it looked as if Ole Miss wouldn’t have to deal with Johnny Manziel. But Ole Miss did, and the reigning Heisman Trophy winner turned a game in the balance into a case of déjà vu for the Rebels. (October 14, 2013, Page 1B)

COLUMN: There’s an unofficial theory out there that if a major university’s football team is doing well, all tickets sales for every other sport increase.

I won’t waste time debunking that (I don’t think folks in Chapel Hill or Lexington would agree), but outside of Big Blue Nation, that’s probably an acceptable rule of thumb in the SEC — at least in terms of morale. (more…) (June 19, 2013, Page 6)

Freeze discusses Ole Miss’ 2013 signing class

VIDEO BLOG: Wednesday was a big day for the Ole Miss football program and there’s really no way around it.

For a while now the Rebels have been rumored to be piecing together one of the country’s top signing classes, but that was all just talk.

Until Wednesday.
