OHS Chargers trio picks Northwest

Oxford’s talented trio of seniors will be able to call one another teammates for at least another two seasons.

Clarksdale holds on to beat Oxford, end Chargers’ season

The Oxford Chargers’ season was put to rest earlier than head coach Johnny Hill would have liked Friday night with a 20-17 heartbreaking loss to 1-5A foe Clarksdale. Run game keys Chargers in region win

LAKE CORMORANT — In a Region 1-5A game where both the Oxford and Lake Cormorant offenses took turns putting up points on the scoreboard, it was the Chargers’ rushing attack that made the biggest difference in the final outcome. Oxford stings ‘Stangs in region opener

Local youth honored for strong character

Two local teens were awarded Youth Character Awards during the Lafayette County Law Enforcement Officers Association’s annual awards banquet last night at the National Guard Armory. Receiving the awards were Mikayla Patterson, 13, and eighth-grader and Lafayette Middle School and Robert Liggins, 17, a junior at Oxford High School. (January 26, 2011, Page 2)

Billups, Oxford roll in season opener
