A Hill Country Picnic Retrospective
OXFORD TOWN – It wasn’t exactly the “Summer of Love,” but it was close. The 2011 North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic went off without a hitch last weekend and we have the photos and coverage to prove it. Page 9 in this week’s issue of Oxford Town will give you a peek at some of the action at one of the hottest (literally and figuratively) festivals in the state and the manner in which our local musicians anchored it throughout the weekend — serving up tons of blues, country, rock, gospel and Americana music. Download or pick up an issue and check it out. And, be sure to mark your calendar now for the last week in June, 2012 for the next version of the Hill Country Picnic. (June 30, 2011, Page 9)
