Lady Rebs unable to put away CMU

Wednesday’s game against Central Michigan proved to be a frustrating one for Ole Miss women’s basketball coach Renee Ladner.

Rebel women take care of Grambling State

For the second game in a row the Ole Miss women’s basketball team took the action to its opponent from the opening tip-off.

There’s never been any denying Nikki Byrd’s talent. The 6-foot-4 senior forward has consistently shown glimpses of her promise over the previous three seasons.

Lady Rebs hoping to bounce back

Coming off of a 67-58 loss at Lamar on Tuesday, the Ole Miss women’s basketball team will look to rebound on Friday when it hosts South Alabama at 4:30 p.m.

Looking back at the setback, head coach Renee Ladner felt her team didn’t capitalize on its opportunities, specifically free throws where the Lady Rebels only made 4 of 14.

Lady Rebs overcome slow start in opener

The Ole Miss Lady Rebels showed their youth at times on Friday.

Opening their season with a bout against North Florida at the C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum, the Ole Miss women’s basketball team had to dig out of an early 12-point deficit to defeat the Ospreys 68-59. (November 14, 2011, Page 4B)

A lot of new faces for Lady Rebels

The Ole Miss women’s basketball team will officially get its season started on Friday with an 11 a.m. tip against North Florida.

Lady Rebs looking to rebound

The Ole Miss soccer and volleyball programs have had a rather difficult week.

While the soccer squad lost at No. 20 Tennessee 4-3 in overtime on Friday and then 3-0 at Georgia on Sunday, the volleyball Rebs lost to Kentucky 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-14, 25-19) on Friday and to No. 19 Tennessee 3-2 (25-22, 17-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-13) on Sunday. (more…) (October 13, 2011, Page 7)
