OM looking for experience in a hurry

When the Ole Miss Lady Rebels take to the hardwood at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum tomorrow to open their 2010 season, head coach Renee Ladner would like for her young squad to be playing like veterans.

While on paper the Lady Rebels’ roster is dominated by inexperience, Ladner is hoping the team’s exhibition game against West Georgia, their scrimmage against Tulane and full-throttle practices in which she’s thrown the freshmen into the fire, will pay off. (November 11, 2010, Page 7)

Hope, McFarland lead OM past UWG

Throughout the preseason Ole Miss’ Valencia McFarland dominated news involving the Lady Rebels’ newcomers.

In Ole Miss’ exhibition opener against West Georgia at the C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum on Thursday night, it was fellow freshman Pa’Sonna Hope, that stole the show. The Cleveland, Ohio, native recorded game-highs of 20 points and 10 rebounds as Ole Miss routed the Wolves 86-36. (November 5, 2010, Page 6A)
