Local markets hit high gear

OXFORD TOWN – Summer produce is at its peak and both the Mid-Town and Taylor Farmers’ Markets are serving it up in a big way every Saturday morning. This week, the Mid-Town Market welcomes Dave Spruill (pictured) as its featured entertainment and Taylor Farmers’ Market features the cool tunes of Don Hudson and Don Buchanan. A soft touch during hard times

News Editor Jonathan Scott’s notion that the L-O-U community is a caring and giving one was only reinforced by recent work that showed 13 pages in the popular FYI section are dedicated to groups who give to the community.
