Blue Devils run past J.Z. George in home opener

WATER VALLEY – Water Valley’s boys basketball team was too fast for J.Z. George. It was a small taste of the kind of frenetic pace opponents will have to deal with this season from the Blue Devils under first-year coach Larry Taylor. Water Valley applied full-court pressure after every made basket, greeted every ball handler with a trap at half-court, and turned every miss by J.Z.
