Pride of the South rises at Ford Center

OXFORD TOWN – A benefit concert for the Pride of the South Marching Band featuring the UM Wind Ensemble and guest drummer Larry Gooch (pictured) is scheduled for Tuesday, May 3, at the Gertrude C. Ford Center. Music is set to begin at 7:30 and admission is free. A reception to meet the student performers will be held for the general public after the concert. Annual benefit concert Tuesday

OXFORD TOWN – Comprised of both the symphonic band and followed by the wind ensemble, The Pride of the South Ole Miss band will hold its annual benefit concert at the Gertrude C. Ford Center on Tuesday, April 27. Admission is free, but the band continues to accept donations to its scholarship endowment. (April 22, 2010, Page 5)
