Meeting to explain more about Literacy-Based Promotion Act

You may have read or heard lots about the Literacy-Based Promotion Act which requires students to be reading on a third-grade level before being promoted to the fourth grade. If you still have questions, however, there’s an excellent chance to learn more — including tips to help our youngsters improve their reading — as the Mississippi Department of Education will hold a regional meeting Wednesday at the Oxford Conference Center. (February 23, 2015, Page 4)
