JONESBORO, Ark. — Three swings of the bat garnered nine runs for the Ole Miss Rebels in their come-from-behind win over Arkansas State on Wednesday night.

Rebels miss chances, fall to AU in opener

AUBURN, Ala. — It wasn’t the Ole Miss Diamond Rebels that made the bulk of the errors on Thursday night. Unfortunately for the visiting Rebels, they didn’t take advantage of Auburn’s three miscues and eventually sputtered their way to a 6-3 loss at the hands of the Tigers at Plainsman Park. (April 22, 2011, Page 6A)

Rebels hold off ‘Cats to claim series

When Brett Huber struck out Kentucky catcher Luke Maile to preserve the 6-5 victory at Oxford-University Stadium on Sunday, the Rebels found themselves in unfamiliar territory — with a Southeastern Conference sweep, the first for the team since taking three games in Starkville last season.

It’s a feeling the Rebels sound like they could get used to, as the win puts them in a three-way tie with Alabama and Arkansas for first in the SEC West and fifth overall. (April 18, 2011, Page 1B)
