Rebels win despite offensive struggles
OLE MISS BASEBALL — The Ole Miss baseball team was able to oversome a sluggish day offensively on Tuesday, knocking off Arkansas State 3-2 at Oxford-University Stadium. Goforth ready for role of Ole Miss closer
OLE MISS BASEBALL — With the loss of Jake Morgan in the fall to injury, it’s David Goforth’s turn to step up and assume the role of closer for the Ole Miss Rebels. The sophomore from Neshoba Central was Morgan’s setup man last season and posted a 1-1 record with three saves in 25 appearances. Rebs to have new-look outfield in ’10
OLE MISS BASEBALL — As has been the case with several other players, junior Matt Smith has put his versatility on display during the 2010 preseason. After spending most of the fall in the outfield, Smith has been practicing at third base because sophomore Mike Snyder was hospitalized last week. When Snyder recovers from having his appendix removed, expect Smith to return to the outfield. (February 15, 2010, Page 10)

Mort has lofty goal for 2010 season
Ole Miss shortstop Kevin Mort is looking to be even better on defense this year for the Rebels. Despite having just seven errors last year, Mort wants to cut down on that number this season to a figure that almost no player has accomplished. (February 10, 2010, Page Page 10)
