St. John’s bounces Rebels from NCAAs
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — With the season on the line, No. 24 Ole Miss scored 16 runs against St. John’s in the elimination game of the Charlottesville Regional on Sunday.
Normally that would have gotten the job done and kept the Diamond Rebels alive in the NCAA Tournament.
The problem, however, was that not only did Ole Miss starter David Goforth and relief pitcher Trent Rothlin combine to surrender eight runs in the first inning, but the Red Storm was able to respond to Ole Miss’ scores throughout the game en route to a 20-16 victory at Davenport Field. Three Rebels excited about heading home
Sure the recently announced Charlottesville (Va.) Regional means a chance at revenge for most of the Ole Miss Diamond Rebels, but to three it has a little extra meaning.
The Rebels trip East will give Matt and Mike Snyder, as well as Matt Crouse, a chance to play in front of friends and family members, a chance most have not had considering the 12-plus hours that separate Virginia from Oxford. (June 2, 2010, Page 7)

Diamond Rebs hoping change of scenery helps
The Ole Miss Rebel baseball team got a day off Sunday after getting swept by Auburn to end the regular season, and the coaching staff and players hope they will take a new approach, particularly at the plate, when they travel to Hoover, Ala., for the SEC Tournament that begins Wednesday. Bianco wins 500th game as head coach
Mike Bianco picked up his 500th career win as a head coach and his 400th at the helm of the Ole Miss baseball program as the No. 15 Rebels defeated Arkansas State 5-2 on Wednesday night.
The win closed out the non-conference schedule for the Rebels (35-15 overall). Ole Miss went 20-6 outside of league play this season. (May 13, 2010, Page 1B)

No late-game heroics were needed Wednesday night at Oxford-University Stadium.

Rebels overcome errors in win, again

OLE MISS BASEBALL — Ole Miss may have plated 28 runs this weekend, but the number that made coach Mike Bianco most proud was one — the number of errors the No. 24 Rebels committed in their three-game sweep of the Oakland (Mich.)
