In a game described as a defensive struggle by head coach Jason Russell, the ninth-grade Chargers were able to go ahead of the Golden Wave thanks to a deep pass play and score from George Edwards. Michael McGee added the 2-point conversion for the difference in the contest. K.T. McCollins was credited with adding great run support from his cornerback spot, D.K. Hutchins and Courtland Barnes also had big games on defense.
