Murphy shines in Lady Chargers’ win

On Wednesday, the senior keeper’s exceptional play lifted the Lady Chargers to a narrow 1-0 victory over Hernando to claim the District 1-5A championship.
In the nightcap, the Oxford boys were able to survive a late barrage to win 2-1.
Murphy had a pretty easy night until the final minutes of the game when she showed her experience time and time again to preserve the win, making an array of saves from point-blank range. (January 20, 2011, Page 6)
