Heading into pre-season camp last season, first-year coach Matthew Mott was still learning the ropes in Oxford, and, as the former Texas and Auburn assistant admitted on Wednesday, he still hadn’t met eight of his players.
The fall 2011 edition of the Magnolia Cup will be televised by Fox Sports.
Ole Miss will host intrastate rival Mississippi State on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium. The winner will earn the Magnolia Cup given annually to the winning team in the series for both fall and spring matches.
