Tigers rip apart Rebels in Memphis

From an Ole Miss perspective there wasn’t a lot of positives to take away from Tuesday’s 9-2 loss to Memphis at AutoZone Park.

After a scoreless first inning, the Rebels (19-11 overall) surrendered six runs in the second inning and never came close to challenging for the lead. (April 6, 2011, Page 6)

Wright pitches OM to series win over UT

Ole Miss’ Austin Wright turned in a solid performance on the mound Sunday and the offense kicked into gear as Rebels shut out Tennessee 8-0 to claim the three-game series. Wahl, Hively return to form in OM win

It was nice that Ole Miss claimed a 3-0 victory over Samford on Tuesday, but the victory wasn’t necessarily THE story line at Oxford-University Stadium.

Bianco hopes to have Morgan back for Vols

The Ole Miss baseball team received good news on Monday regarding the health of closer Jake Morgan.

In a statement released by the university at 11 a.m., Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco said Morgan’s MRI came back clean, “but what the x-rays found was some AC joint irritation.” (more…) (March 22, 2011, Page 8)

Rebs fall behind, lose series to Alabama

Despite what Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco considered an improved day at the plate on Sunday, the Rebels were unable to claim their first Southeastern Conference series of the season, falling to Alabama 6-4.

Tracy, Rebels shut out JSU Tigers

Ole Miss’ dominance on the mound continued Tuesday at Oxford-University Stadium.
