Three Commodores dismissed

A violation of team rules over the weekend has cost the Lafayette baseball team three starters for the remainder of the season.

Senior pitcher Matt Taylor, senior outfielder Denzel Goolsby and junior outfielder Ontario Phillips were dismissed from the team by coach Greg Lewis on Tuesday. (April 15, 2010, Page 6)

Lewisburg RHP shuts down ‘Dores

A dominant pitching performance from Lewisburg’s Aaron Greenwood left Lafayette coach Greg Lewis a little bummed out on his birthday and the Commodores with their first Region 2-4A loss on the season.

LHS pitcher throws no-hitter

LAFAYETTE BASEBALL — Lafayette senior right-hander Matt Taylor pitched a complete-game, no hitter Tuesday in the Commodores’ 10-0 win over South Pontotoc  at W.V. Brewer Field. LHS drops two to open baseball season
