Mary Kathryn Jones, 76, of Oxford, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at her home.

Mrs. Mary Kathryn was a fantastic Army wife. She absolutely loved learning about U.S. history, particularly dealing with the military. She was also an avid sports fan, particularly with Ole Miss Athletics.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home in Oxford. A service will immediately follow at 4 p.m. There will be another visitation on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg. A graveside service will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg. Rev. David Freeman will officiate at both services. Coleman Funeral Home and Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Col. Lee Jones of Oxford; two sons, Buddie (Angela) Currie of Buford, Georgia, and Rob Jones of Seattle, Washington; one daughter, Lisa (Thomas) Sneed of Clinton; one sister, Bettye (Josh) Morris of Hattiesburg; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Pulliam and Icalee Pulliam.

Pallbearers will be John Baldwin, Ben Calhoun, Bobby Walters, Jerry Roberts, Robert Hensarling, and Clifton Keith.
