Movie crews set to arrive next week

Movie crews for the film, “Admissions” are expected to start arriving next week, according to Mary-Katherine Herrington, tourism director for the Oxford Convention and Vistors Bureau. (February 16, 2012, Page 5)

Movie set to film in Oxford

The Oxford Convention and Visitor’s Bureau gave a $5,000 film grant Wednesday night at the request of screen writer Glenn German for an upcoming film, “Admissions,” that will be partly filmed at the University of Mississippi and Oxford, with actor Andy Garcia expected in the lead male role. (January 19, 2012, Page 1)

Oxford ‘crawls’ to art

OXFORD TOWN – The Oxford Art Crawl begins its 2012 season this Tuesday (Jan. 24). The ongoing event will be held the fourth Tuesday of each month from January through October, lasting from 7-9 p.m. The “crawl” events are free and offer tours of the rotating exhibits at Oxford’s art spaces with small receptions held at each stop.
