Former Lafayette Commodore Cody Gray scored a run for the Golden Triangle Jets in their 9-7 win over the Dealers on Tuesday night at the New Albany Sportsplex. Another former area player, Water Valley’s Walt McCullough, collected a single, RBI and scored a run for the Dealers. Former LHS standout Luke McCullough played center field for the Dealers. The Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers will host a first-round MACJC baseball playoff series this weekend in Senatobia. NWCC, the co-champions in the North Division, host East Central, the No. 3 seed from the south, Friday at 2 p.m. and a doubleheader on Saturday that begins at noon. The winner of the best-of-three series will then advance to the state championships May 12-14.
