‘One Night Stand’ returns to Ole Miss Motel

OXFORD TOWN – The concept of the fifth annual “One Night Stand” art exhibit is when 15 artists take over 12 rooms at the Ole Miss Motel, swapping out the standard motor-in landscapes for their own paintings and photographs and essentially becoming the curator of their own small gallery. Reception at UM Museum launches Jaudon’s ‘White’ exhibit

OXFORD TOWN – In what is being billed as a “very important” art exhibition, the University of Mississippi Museum is featuring nationally recognized artist Valerie Jaudon’s “White” exhibit. Jaudon’s work can be viewed through July 2 at the museum. Children’s recycled art workshop

As part of Green Week, Lou Haney, assistant professor of art, will conduct a children’s recycled art workshop from 1-2 p.m. Friday near Skipwith Cottage by City Hall. Children will use old materials like magazines, newspapers and cereal boxes to create new art objects.

Brown Bag Lecture: Lou Haney

The University Museum presents a brown bag lecture by Lou Haney, Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Mississippi, on Thursday, March 4, at noon. The public is invited to attend. The artist will discuss her past and present work, as well as some contemporary artists to consider.
