LHS’s Gardner signs with Northwest Mississippi CC

Lafayette High senior Lizzie Gardner was already heading to Northwest Mississippi Community College in the fall to begin her journey toward a nursing degree. She will now have something else to do while in Senatobia as the former Commodore soccer player signed with the Rangers to continue her career Tuesday morning at LHS. (April 9, 2015, Page 7)

LHS takes aim at first state title against NE Jones

 The Lafayette High girls soccer team’s postseason run has seen a dominant victory, a grind-it-out win which avenged an earlier loss and exorcising the demons of a team that had beaten them the previous two meetings.  On Saturday, the Commodores’ journey will take them where no previous team in program history has been — a state championship match. Lafayette will play defending champion Northeast Jones on the campus of Madison Central High School with the MHSAA Class 4A state title up for grabs. (February 6, 2015, Page 6A)

Lady ‘Dores beat Richland, earn state title berth

LHS drops 3-2 match to Corinth
