The Lafayette County Master Gardeners, in association with the University Museum, presents the final lecture in the Spring Garden Lecture Series on Thursday. The lecture will begin at noon at the University Museum at University Avenue and Fifth Street.
The speaker for this lecture, titled “Purple Rain, Mellow Yellow, Silver Bells and Scarlet Ribbons: Creating Color in the Landscape,” will be Lelia Kelly, extension associate professor at Mississippi State and consumer horticulture specialist with North Mississippi Research and Extension Center. Kelly will discuss how to create and maintain color in your landscape with shrubs, trees, and flowers.
The series is free and open to the public. Bring a brown bag lunch and enjoy this informative lecture with other gardeners. (April 14, 2010)
