Buying the ‘right’ to wear jeans helps victims

The Family Crisis Services of Northwest Mississippi is sponsoring “Jeans for Justice Day,” a campaign to raise awareness of sexual assault and funds to support programs for the victims of such crimes locally. It will be held April 28 on National Sexual Assault Awareness Day.

For a donation of $5 or more, employees “buy” the right to wear jeans to work as a way to recognize rape survivors, as well as other victims of crimes. (April 20, 2011, Page 7A)
