The Oxford baseball will honor former superintendent Dr. Kim Stasny before tonight’s Class 5A playoff series opener against Neshoba Central. Stasny passed away on Wednesday after suffering complications from a brain tumor. The team will wear “KS” patches on their uniforms over the weekend, while fans will receive “KS” stickers. A moment of silence will also be observed before the game at Edwin Moak Field. First pitch in the series is set to begin tonight at 6. Kim Myrick Stasny, 55, died Wednesday evening at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi after complications from a brain tumor.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Oxford University United Methodist Church with a service to follow at 3.
