Dean sets OHS record

Dean’s focus key to early success

For anybody who has watched Oxford senior Mont Dean carry the football during a game, you might think he’s the biggest talker on the team. Thanks to a powerful lower body, speed and agility, Dean routinely takes on opposing defenders without much care or regard for his own body.

His battering-ram style wears on defenders during a game, while his knack for finding the end zone so far this season has made him a huge weapon for OHS. But Dean’s straight-forward running style doesn’t define the young man he really is. For a player who weighs 220 pounds, his personality is more reserved, quiet, and overall much different than the way he runs each Friday night. (September 1, 2011, Page 7)
