WVHS thwarts Lady Chargers’ rally
It wasn’t a clean game by any means but both Oxford and Water Valley were able to take positives away from Thursday’s 8-7 decision that went the way of the Lady Blue Devils.

Lady Chargers win opening swim meet

Lady Chargers head to SHS to open season
A young, but energetic group is what Oxford High volleyball coach Tara Ross has to work with in 2010.
The Lady Chargers take the court tonight at Senatobia before returning home for their home opener on Thursday. Ross only has one senior on this year’s team — Kathryn Stocks — but she has several youngsters that have shown they want to get better and with the proper amount of patience, should be good in the future. WVHS nips Oxford in extra innings
PREP SOFTBALL — The Water Valley Lady Blue Devils overcame bitterly cold temperatures to defeat the Oxford Lady Chargers 16-15 in the fastpitch softball opener for both teams Tuesday night at Stone Park. Courtney True drove in the game-winning RBI for the Lady Blue Devils in the top of the eighth inning, while pitcher Kelsey Kimzey secured the win in the circle after fielding a ground ball she coaxed OHS into hitting in the bottom of the frame.
