Oxford LB Adams earns POW honor
Oxford’s success on defense this season can be attributed to the play of many standout players. Against Lake Cormorant last Friday specifically, senior Jarquis Adams recorded nine tackles, three tackles for a loss and one sack in the Chargers’ 26-0 win. It was the second time this year the ninth-ranked Chargers have earned a shutout and absolutely stoned an opponent from a yardage standpoint. (Lake Cormorant had negative 11 yards at the half). Adams’ play earned him this week’s Player of the Week honors, his first this season. (October 9, 2012, Page 6)
