WATER VALLEY — Momentum is not something the Water Valley basketball team will be able to take into this week’s Division 2-3A tournament at Aberdeen.
Both the Lady Blue Devils and Blue Devils lost on Senior Night on Friday in the WVHS gym to South Panola. The Lady Devils fell behind in the first half and never recovered as they lost 58-35, while the Blue Devils’ early first-half lead didn’t stick late as they fell 43-39 in the nightcap. WATER VALLEY — It was a tale of two halves on the court for the Water Valley Blue Devils Monday night. In the first half of the varsity basketball nightcap in the WVHS gym, Hickory Flat controlled the tempo, the backboards and made more hustle plays to garner a 34-18 lead at the half.

WATER VALLEY — After throttling their opponents to the tune of 105-0 in their first two games of the season, the Water Valley Blue Devils were humbled Friday, losing to Calhoun City 16-14 at Bobby Clark field.
