Police: Quiet New Year’s holiday

Mother, son killed in South Oaks

The Oxford Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred at about 6 this morning in the South Oaks subdivision. Carol Lavett Gary, 43, and her 12-year-old son were found dead.
